MOA HARRIERS.
First-class harrier racing- was experienced by the Feilding Harrier Club on Saturday afternoon, when they travelled to Dannevirke to participate in the Anderson Shield rally, conducted by the Dannevirkc Club. This marked the first occasion on which a team from the local dub competed in open competition and all competitors ran as well as could lie desired. For a young club in its first season the team made a good showing. The run was over standard course of 6A miles which consisted of two laps, being both cross country - and road. Those representing the Feilding club were: R. Lambcrton, R. Cleland, 11. Moss. C. Hill, J. Haycock, who were accompanned by Mr Webb (president) and Mr C. Coleman (secretary). In the team's placing.? the _ Feilding Club finished sixth out of eight. R. Lambcrton and R. Cleland both ran well while H. Moss had a bad attack of “stitch” and O. Hill had the mis* fortunate to out two toes. .T. JTnyeock ran his usual rare and generally the Feilding runners performed exceedingly well.
