MANAWATU CLUB JUNK MEDAL PLAYED. The June medal and the second qualifying rounds were played by the members of the Manawatu Coif Club on Saturday. The links were a little on llie holding side after the recent rains. In the A tirade, J. M.abey, E. Fletcher and V. Simpson tied for Ist place with net scores of 71. and H. R. The recent heavy .rains have made tho Awatapu course very soft. In an unofficial Stableford bogey competition S. Toon and J. Kells returned tho winning card of 4] points, followed by D. Harkness and F. Ward with 39 points. Toon and Kells, whoso best ball equalled, a 75, started a little unsteadily, but a 38 on tho home section by Toon put them in a sound position. Duo to alterations to the sixth green, players are at present using a temporary green, and with the recent rains this was not putting truly. Next week-end the Palmerston A team will visit Levin, while the home B team will bo hosts to the Levin B team. U.S. OPEN TOURNEY. THREE TO PLAY OFF. PHILADELPHIA, June 11.
