MODEL AEROPLANES.
AN 'INSTRUCTIVE DISPLAY. Model aeroplanes call attention to tho sound shell, where they are displayed in the entertainment hall. Suspended from the roof of the shell, arranged on the flooring, and with pictures and photographs and charts on the walls, they form a comprehensive displav. There is a fine collection of actual photographs of the F class of D.H. Albatross machines and a watercolour in the background shows the | fore end of the radial-engined Skua fighter of the Royal Navy. Other water-colours indicate the progress in aviation from the old wartime B.E. machine to the famous Spitfire of the present time. Two models of the fl.v-ing-boat Oentaurus are suspended from Iho upper part of the sound, shell, and on the right are charts showing the air routes of Imperial Airways’ Empire services. Solid models represent all high-wing tvnes of the American and English fighter aircraft. Uncovered frames show tlm model aeroplane of to-day and, incidentally. Ilm full-sized nri-1 chines, are built. Two large petroldriven models are interesting, not only from the fact that they actually fiv, hut a'=o because they differ in design. The designs were evolved by the builders themselves. M.
