Only two changes have boon made in the team which played the Wellington side last Monday and won B—o. J. Howell is being given a trial in his usual position, hut against stronger company than lie has met in club matches, and Reid who did very well in the same position against AA ollington, goes into the reserves for this match. Powell was picked originally to plnv against AYellington, hut an attack of influenza prevented his taking the field. Tlis inclusion in Newman’s place, brings another good place-kicker into the Alanawatu side.

In addition to those selected the Alanawatu Union is fortunate in having a large number of equally good players such as in the emergencies. and G. 11. Terry. IT. L. McLaren, and H. Carter (all of Massey College), and Little, a player who, with a little more experience ill positional work, will he an asset to nnv selector. Three players. Little, Howell and Afitcholl (the last-named being a Alassev College student), arc all 18 years of age or under, and the three provide an outstanding triumvirate of youthful talent.
