PIG-A-DILLY CIRCUS.
It is no Strange sight. t<? see on a Manawatti farm a litter of piglets basking in Uni sun alongside their proud bub far from good-looking mother—but who, before, lias seen little pigs performing tricks, at tne command of their good-looking schoolmistress? Yes, it's perfectly true for m the amusement section at the Palmerston Winter Show, Pork Chops, freckles, and Other famous pigs, which have been so cleverly trained by Miss Marjorie Van Camps, perform miraculous feats. During the course of conversation with Mr frank de Lvall, under whose management the Pic-a-Dilly Circus is staged, the writer was informed lhat the St. Moritz Skaters, who gave exhibitions of skating at former Winter Shows, recently returned to Switzerland, when, on tebruary 13. they had the honour of appearing at Lausanne before the King of Siam, the Queen Mother and their suite. Professor Corthesy and Vera Parnvicini are, however, at present in England playing before large audiences before setting off on their second world tour with a new three-lmnded no , which they will present “on icc at Wellington's Centennial Exhibition and at tne 1940 Palmerston North V, inter Show.
