NATIONAL PARTY.
Another of’ their successful afternoon leatherings was held at the P.D.C. tearooms by the social committee of the Palmerston North branch of the National Party, yesterday. There wn.s an excellent attendance. thirty tables being occupied by bridge and mall jollier plavors. At the conclusion of plav Airs .T. S. .Monro fcontract) and Afrs AV. hi AA’inks (auction) wore declared the bridge prize winners. Before presenting the prizes, which had hen donated by Airs K. Clayton, Afrs AV. F. Field, president of tho women’s committee, returned thanks for the sunport accorded the party and announced that it was proposed tu hold similar functions the same day each month. The social committee responsible for the arrangements made comprised Alesdames D. Black (convener), H. ft. Aldk. ]{. Davis. fj. C, Feeble J. TT. "Whyte, AT. Palmer. Aliss K. AVarren. and also Aliss E. Uosworth, in charge! of mah jongg.
