DEMANDS REFUSED.

EXTRADITION OF MEN. TOKIO, June 7. The Japanese demands for the extradition of four men accused of shooting at Cheng Sln-kang have been rejected by Britain. On June 1 the Japanese Consul at Tientsin sent a Note to the British Consul-General demanding the surrender before noon on June 7 of tlm assassins of Cheng Shi-kang, branch manager of the Federal Reserve Bank, declaring that failure to comply would result in “independent Japanese action.” Jt was alleged that Cheng ■Shi-kang was killed in the British Concession on April 9.
