Ox beef was quoted very firm tor a smaller yarding at the Wosttiold live stock sale to-day, and cow and heller beef shoved a firming tendency under keen competition. Extra choice ox beet made 32s a 1001 b.; choice and prime, AL i° 31s; choice and prime cow amt hmlci, 24s to 30s; boner and rough, U* to 235. Extra heavy prune steers made 10s to £l4 7s 6d; heavy, £ll 10s to „12 15t5- medium, £lO 15s to £ll ss; £9 10.3 to £lO 10s; extra heavy prime cows and heitore, £8 10s to £lO ss; heavy £7 5s to £8 17s 6d; medium, £6 to £7 ns bd, light, £5 10s to £6 17s 6d. Tho sheep varded were fewer than the average, and ' attracted keen competition. Extra° heavy prime wethers made 26s to 28s- heavy, 23s 6d to 25s 9d; medium. 21s to 24s 3d; light:, 18s 6d to 21s 9d; extra heavy prime ewes, 17s to 22s 3d; heavy, 16s 9rl to 18s 6d; medium, 13s 6d to 16s 6d- light 10s 6d to 14.3 9(1; prime lambs made 13s to 24s 6d; others,. 5s to 13s 6c. , Prime sorts were very firm in a smaller ; pin- entry.
