BOXING INTERESTS.
PROFESSIONAL BOUT ARRANGED | The executive of the Mannwatu Boxing Association met last evening, Air E. R. AVimsett being in the chair. Others present were Messrs 1. 0. | Robinson, J. Pollard, E. J. Arnott, N. R Lecher, T. Ross. G. Hastings, .T. jPurves, P. Chase, W. Ingram and D. H. Armstrong (secretary.) | A professional fight was arranged I for between Parris and Caltaux. I It was suggested hv Mr Arnott that two professional bouts be arranged for the one night, lmt it was agreed that it would he better to feature amateur bouts and that five or six amateur matches would not leave sufficient time for two professional fights. Eventually it was resolved to stage five amateur fights. The matter of fixing the date for the contest was left in the hands of the emergency committee, and in the event of either of the professional contestants being unavailable it was left, to the emergency committee to select another opponent. Messrs Hastings and Pollard were appointed the match committee, and Messrs G. Walchorn, Ingrain and Robinson the emergency committee. Officials were appointed as follow : Refereo. Messrs Watchorn (professional) and P. Chase (amateurs) : announcer, Afr R. R. Morton; gloves ■steward, Air J. Trepo ; call steward, A 1 r ,T. Pnrves; timekeepers, Messrs N. D. Ktuhbs and W. AT. Crystal) ; seconds. Messrs D. Clinton, J. Smith and .T. Chase; judges, Afessrs Ingram, Arnott and Ross; medical steward, Air Pollard ; stage manager, Mr J. Purves.
