The Scottish Trades Union Congress in Glasgow has decided to cease cooperating with nationnl service work and has made a call on all trade unions to oppose conscription. The Scottish Peace Congress in Jtdinburgh has opposed conscription and has urged Anglo-Franco-lUissian cooperation with America, and all countries prepared to resist aggression.
