CONSCRIPTION ISSUE.
TRADES UNION OPPOSITION. Received May 22. 12.20 p.m LONDON, May 21. The Scottish Trades Union Congress in Glasgow has decided to cease cooperating with nationnl service work and has made a call on all trade unions to oppose conscription. The Scottish Peace Congress in Jtdinburgh has opposed conscription and has urged Anglo-Franco-lUissian cooperation with America, and all countries prepared to resist aggression.
