WELLINGTON CHAMPIONSHIPS. WELLINGTON, Feb. IS. Perfect weather prevailed for the continuance of the Wellington croquet tournament in Lower Hutt and Petone yesterday. Several events reached the final stages. In the women’s associate section, Mrs Cadwallader won the first life, and in the second life Mrs Cadwallader will play off for the winner with Mrs McLennan. Ihc championship doubles were won by Mesdames Gambrill and Bock in the final. The first section of the handicap singles finals will he contested between Mrs Walker and Mrs. Hoenan. and the second section will be contested between Mrs Gilbert and Mrs G. Collins. - The No. 3 level event reached the semi-finals in both lives. Mrs Allan and Mrs Woodley will play off for the winner of one life, and in the other Mrs Woodley will meet Mrs Foley. Tn the number 4 event level singles, Mrs Morgan won the first life, and in the second life Mrs Morgan is to play Mrs Collins. The finals of the handicap doubles, the handicap singles number 2. and several matches' in the final draw lor the open championship will be played to-dav.
