NATIONAL DAHLIA SHOW.
The first National Dahlia Show will be opened to-morrow in the A. and P. Association’s Hall. Cuba Street. There is every indication of a fine display of flowers. the show will be formally opened at 3 p.m. by Airs Knox Gilmer (Wellington), patron of the Dahlia Society of New Zealand. Mrs Knox Gilmer is well known for her keen interest in horticulture, and was awarded Ihc Lodcr tun lor the pa-t year. -Members arc reminded that the annual subscription is now ilue, this being the first of four shows held during the financial year. It is a good opportunity for new members to enrol. By their patronage citizens can show appreciation of the society’s action in slaging the first National Dahlia Show. Afternoon tea will be available on both afternoons. The doors will he open to-morrow from 2 p.m. to 5.30 p.m. and front 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.; on Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 5.30 p.m., and from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
