BOYS’ HIGH SCHOOL.
PARENTS’ ASSOCIATION. Tho first meeting of the executive of the Palmerston North Boys’ High School Parents’ Association for the year was held at the school on Tuesday. Mr A. A. Langley (chairman) presided and tho following members of the executive were present:—Mrs Langley, Mr and Mrs G. Perrin, Mr and Mrs J. L. Nash, Mr and Mrs H. P. Kay, Mr and Mrs T. L. Seator, Mr and Mrs J. A. West, Mr and Mrs L. Cozens, Mesdames IT. Palmer, J. Davidson and Speedy, and Messrs B. Abraham, J. K. Patou (lion, secretary) and Mr J. A. Colquhoun deputising for the rector (Mr J. Murray). Apologies for absence were received from Mr and Mrs Pierard, Mr and Mrs Nicholl and Mr E. S. Oliver.
The chairman expressed gratification at tho large attendance, which he considered augured well for a very successful year. He was glad to inform members that Mr Murray was making good progress. It was decided to send a letter expressing tlie association’s sympathy to Mr Murray and conveying best wishes for a continuance of his improvemnt. Appreciation of a further gift of Medici pictures to the school was received in a letter from the Board of Governors. In vidw of counter-attrac-tions, it was decided to hold the annual gala day on March 18, instead of the 11th, as originally planned. Detailed arrangements for the gala were put in hand.
