SHORT DELAY.

DISPUTE ON MARIPOSA. SYDNEY, Nov. 12. Tlie Mariposa sailed at 12.15 p.m. for Auckland with four of the original crew missing, including three junior engineers and a galley hand. Two substitute engineers were engaged .at the last minute. The galleyman had obtained permission to marry and remain in Australia. The engineers were involved in a dispute on the way out from San Francisco. They wanted permission to take their meals in the messroom with unlicensed engineers, instead of in the saloon, but the captain was unable to acquiesce. The Mariposa was delayed only 20 minutes.
