NATIONAL PARTY

NEW BRANCH FORMED. HASTINGS, Sept. 2. A unanimous derision to form a branch of the New Zealand National Party was made at a very largely attended meeting of Ashley Clinton and Makaretu residents, held at Ashley Clinton Hall. Considerable enthusiasm was shown at the meeting and the membership of the new branch already makes it one of the strongest in the electorate. Mr W. N. YValdin was appointed chairman of the branch, and Mr It. Miles secretary. The electorate secretary has received a letter from the Hon. Adam Hamilton, expressing appreciation of the resolution of confidence in his leadership passed at the recent annual meeting of the YVaipawa electorate committee, and his pleasure at, the very good work being done in the Central Hawke’s Bay district.
