KAIRANGA.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) KAIRANGA, April 29. A very enjoyable party was held last night at the residence of Mr and Mrs H. R. Green, when a large number of friends gathered to say farewell to Mr and Mrs R Lawrence, who aro leaving the district after ten years’ residence for their new home up the Wanganui River. The early part of the evening was spent in card n-ames around a large log lire, the winners being Miss 11. Hall and Mr G. Burmcister'. After supper had been handod round, Messrs 11. Turner, 11. Green and P G. Mildon nil spoke a few words wishing Mr and Mrs Lawrence and family good luck in their new home, after which they were presented with a pair of blanket from their friends. Mr Lawrence replied on bolialf of his wife and lumself. Among those present were: Mr and Mrs Green" 5 Mr and Mrs G. Burincister, Mr and Mrs E. Lawrence, Misses Lawrence (2) I Green, O. Green, H. Hall, J 3. Hall, Mr and Mrs A. Divehall, Mrs Eglinton, Miss J. Eglinton, Mrs Small, M. Small, Messrs 11. Turner, P. G. Mildon, it Mildon, 0. Mildon, Mr and Mrs G. Davey, Messrs L. Clark and N. Hyde.
