URGENT NEED
RESUMPTION OF MIGRATION. LORD BLEDISLOE’S VIEW. GRAND COUNCIL SUGGESTED. (United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) Received December 10, 10.5 a.m. LONDON, Dec. 9. Tho urgent need for the resumption of migration was stressed by speakers at the Empire Industries’ Association luncheon. Lord Blcdisloo said tho peopling of the Dominions and the development of their resources were of the most vital importance, coupled with English and American friendship in international affairs. The time iiad arrived for a stocktaking “We must havo more migrants,” said Lord Bledisloe. “I have returned after live years in New Zealand and I have not received one request, official or otherwise, to pass on the benefits of my experience of that Dominion and its problems in the future. It is time the Empire held a Grand Council to organise its great resources, and to transfer from our depressed areas thousands of people who could help to develop the Dominions.”
