BULLS
(From Our Own Gorrespondent.J BULLS, Doc. 8. At a meeting of the committee of the Bulis-Ohakea Sports Club Mr C. 10. Vile presided over a good attendance of members. Apologies were received from Messrs O. H. Edwards, W. Dean, T. H. Radd, L. V. Homes, and It. F. Scott. The principal business of the meeting was the consideration of the proposal to metal electric lighting on the Domain for evening sports meetings. Mr Vile reported that a deputation had waited on the Town Board and had placed the proposal before that body, receiving a sympathetic hearing. The board had granted permission to erect lights, and to cut poles from the plantation under the supervision of the foreman. The board had also offered to take over and maintain the lights when installed. Members of the Sports Club committee decided , to carry on with the project and to investigate the uso of the latest sodium lamps. Owing to unforeseen circumstances it has been impossible to fix the date for the annual sports mooting, but finality will, it is hoped, be reached at an early date. Mr F. J. Eliis wrote accepting the position of club patron and similar acceptances were received from the vice-presidents, Messrs C. L. Hunter, M.P., Q. 0. Wilson, and A. T. J. Shaw. Mr Shaw also accepted the
position of honorary auditor. Donations wore received from Messrs Ellis, Shaw, and R. Griffon, and Mr R. Mackay forwarded a donation to the lighting fund. Air Xoel Ede, of the Permanent ArtilWv, Wellington, is spending his annual holidays with his parents, Mr and Mrs Arthur Ede, Bulls.
