FREEMAN RETIRED.
KENT’S BOMBSHELL. Received November 21, 1.49 p.m. LONDON, Nov. 20. Kent has decided not to re-engage A P. Freeman, the slow spin bowler, for the 1937 season. In view of his “exceptional services” tli© ©lub is granting him £250 wages. He is continuing until next summer. The club states that it wishes to give younger players a chance. Freeman said : “Tlie news has come as a bombshell. I had no intention ot retiring yet.”
