At tlie wool sales 8072 bales were offered including 3874 from New Zealand, and 7696 wei'e sold. There was a moderate selection, with strong competition, and prices were generally o per cent above the opening rates, ilie home trade, the Continent and Russio secured the bulk; America was also competing. , . . . New Zealand greasy crossbred, branded RJ/Gore, reached 16d and averaged 14$d. Greasy halfbred, banded Swindon, 19d; slipe halfbred lambs, branded Pareora/NB, 21d.
