VESSEL DELAYED.
DISPUTE AT GISBORNE. Per Press Association. GISBORNE, Nov. 21. Owing to the dispute regarding rates of pay, the work of unloading the Kaimiro, which arrived yesterday from Newcastle, has been suspended. General cargo-was handled yesterday, but to-da.y the wharf men refused to resume unless they were paid an extra penny an hour for handling coal, as allowed to winchmen and others working on the ship. A stopwork meeting is proceeding, with hopes of a settlement, but in any case the departure of the vessel will be delayed from Monday to Tuesday.
