Sir Robert Horne,. speaking at the Imperial Smelting Corporation’s annual meeting, after lamenting the fact that the British zinc iudilstry lacked protection, said the development of the German industry .by. subsidies 'must have important repercussions throughout tlie world. “ft is vital to Britain to adequately protect her industry, against foreigners, and to arrange the regulation or Empire imports with the Dominions,” Sir Robert added.
