The diamond jubilee celebrations of St Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, wliicli commenced last evening, have already afforded an opportunity for the renewing of old associations, also the pioneers of the early days in moi e intimate touch with those who have succeeded them in thenwork. A fine example was afforded at last evening’s social function, when there were present three brothers—Mr \V Monro, of Hastings, aged DO ; Mr A.' It. Munro, of Tailiape, aged 80 ; and Mr J. S. Munro, of Napier, aged 70. Mr AY. Munro was a member of the first session in 1881 and Mr A. Rv Munro built the church m 1893.
