(From Our Own Correspondent). OPIKI, Juno 25. Owing to counter-attractions the attendance at tho ping pong was smaller than usual on Tuesday night. Euchre was played in the supper room, beside a cheery fire. Supper was served by the hostesses for the month. Tho winners of (lie euchre were Mr Taylor and Mrs Simpson. The friends of : Mrs J. Hay will regret to learn that she : has had to enter hospital in Palmerston j North. Mr and Mrs Webb have returned from a holiday spent in Hawke’s Bay. Mr and Mrs F. Nagel are at present, away on holiday. Mrs Carson is paying a visit to Biinnythorpc, where she is the guest of her mother, Mrs Squires. Mr Norman Croad is away on holiday. Mr and Mrs L. Kars and Mr and Mrs C. Jensen are also on holiday. Mr and Mrs Walter Williams left for -Paraparaumu on Wednesday where they intend spending a holiday.
