(From Our Own Correspondent.) ROXGOTEA, June 12. At the Rongotca basketball court oil Wednesday a large gathering attended to sec the match between Oroua Downs and Rongotca, which promised to he an exciting game, both teams having the same number of points in the competition. The game was spoilt somewhat by the wet court and slippery ball. At half-time (ho score was: Oroua Downs 8, Rongotca 4. In the second half Rongotca commenced play with a rush and evened the score after a few minutes’ play. From then on it was a battling game. With two minutes to go the score wart 10 —10. Rongotca scoring the winning goal right on time, making the Huai .-core: Rongotca 11, Oroua Downs 10. Mr A. (J. Fades was referee. The Rongolea School Rugby team met Rangiotu on (ho local ground to-day. winning by 34 points to nil. For Rongotca, Tear, scored three tries, Vallendor three, Parker two, Woods one and llossop one, while Slattery kicked two goals.
