CHILD FALLS 60 FEET.

ESCAPES ALMOST UNHURT. A two-year-old Chinese boy, who fell more than 60 feet into a brick pit at Ashfield, New South Wales, was apparently scarcely hurt. The child, was admitted to the Western Suburbs Hospital, but apart from a scalp wound, severe shock, and possibly slight concussion, appeared to be suffering no ill effects. Ambulance men and doctors said afterwards that it was almost unbelievable that anyone falling such a distance could escape death or serious injury.
