The '-ail-car made a special trial run from Wellington to Napier yesterday, leaving Wellington at 9.17 a.m. Great interest was taken in the trip all through the new territory from Palmerston North to Napier. Tire car made a fast passage back from Napier, leaving at 5.44 p.m. and arriving at Wellington at 11.35 p.m. Thirty-four minutes were spent in stops.
The veteran, George Rogers, aged 53, with K. Langley, who was beaten by C. Pearce in the Australian sculling championship, won the West Australian champion pairs over two. miles ou Saturday.
