FIERCE TYPHOON

DAMAGE IN JAPAN. HEAVY LOSS OF LIFE. MARINE COLLISION. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) Received September 28. 9.10 a.m. TOKIO, Sept, 27. During manoeuvres, the fierce typhoon caused a collision between four destroyers and an aircraft-carrier. One sailor was killed ten injured, and 54 swept overboard. It is believed that all were drowned. A Government communique states that 230 have been killed in the typhoon and 195 are missing in addition to the 54 sailors. A total of 75,974 houses and 191 bridges were destroyed.
