VIEWS ON SALARY CUTS. At the monthly general meeting of the Manawatu section of the Post and Telegraph Employees’ Association keen disappointment was expressed that the salary cuts had not been restored in full as had been done by the British Government—and that the portion restored had not been made retrospective as from April 1. It was pointed out that a considerable portion of the cuts still remained to be restored, particularly in the case of higher salaried officers who had suffered a 22$ per cent reduction, of which approximately only half had been restored.
