LABOUR AND WAR.
(To the Plditor.) Sir, —During the last few weeks there have come through the cables many interesting opinions expressed by prominent men and political parties in tho British Empire, probably indirectly caused by the Italo-Abyssinian dispute. For example, the Labour Party of Australia has decided to use all its influence to prevent Australia helping the Mother Country if Britain is dragged into a war. I wonder what the local branch of the Labour Party has to say for itself? Will it also assume the same pacific attitude?— I am, etc., 5 INTERESTED.
