For the kitchen. —Two kitchen handtowels or roller-towels, six . dusters, three glass-cloths, six tea-cloths. POTATO PIE Boil enough potatoes to fill your dish, mash them and mix in a wellbeaten egg, a little milk, thyme, parsley, pepper and salt to taste. Cut off some tender slices from a fillet of veal or use thin slices of stewed steak, adding enough brown gravy, to cover the meat. Put meat and gravy in the dish and bake very gently, not allowing them to dry up. Heap the potato mixture on top, cmootli the surface, and return to ■ the oven. As soon as the potato crust hardens, spread it with butter to baste it and bake until it is golden brown.
