THE OLD BOYS CLUB. AVhilo the senior fifteen of the Old Bovs Club did not prove capable of winning championship honours, their defeat of Feilding Old Boys on Saturday enabled them to emerge with an unbeaten record in the Goldfinch and Cousins Cup series. Away hack in 1920 the Old Boys Club won the subsidiary competition after Kia Toa had captured the inter-club championship. The positions were directly reversed twelve months later, for it was Old Boys who won the championship with Kia Toa tne G. and C. Cup. In 1927 these same teams met in the play-off and, m a great struggle, the old rivals were on terms after 20 minutes’ extra play* the score being 12-12.
