LIFE SAYING.
MANAWATU HEAD CENTRE
The Manawatu Head Centre of the Royal Life-saving Society met last evening, Mr E. J. Worry presiding. Advice of the results of life-saving examinations for pupils of the Milson School was placed before the meeting. The following were those who had gained certificates Elementary, Jack Itobbie, Harry Leslie; primary, Colm Robbie, 'Arthur Liulwagsen, Alex McDonald, George Barclay, Fay McAvoy, Phyllis Chalk, Beth Rowan. The Auckland Head Centre forwarded a suggestion that a special swimming costume should bo designed and issued to holders of the awards of merit so that when a qualified mall was required he could be distinguished easily. It was decided that the subject be discussed at the annual meeting next month. Messrs R. E. Small and D. C. Pryor were appointed .the delegates from the Manawatu Head’ Centre to the annual conference in Wellington next month. Mr Small is to be i the local delegate to the Surf Associations’ conference.
