HEALTHY TONE
DAIRY PRODUCE MARKET. BUTTER TOUCHES 115 S. Advices from London indicate that the dairy produce market is maintaining a very healthy tone. A report received by a Palmerston North firm from its London house to-day stated that the ruling price for butter ,was 115 s a cwt. Cheese, both white and coloured, was quoted at 58s a ewt. The first consignments of new season’s produce from the Manawatu are scheduled to reach the London market at the end of September. /Meanwhile final clearances of last season s butter and cheese are being made, ana should-meet the demand at the latest quotations, making actual realisations far greater than balance-sheet expectations of about 90s a cwt. for butter and 46s a cwt for cheese.
