An intense anti-cyclone lias remained centred east of the South Island, while at the same time a cyclone has been situated to the north-west of the Dominion. Forecast: Aloderate to sti-ong south-east winds rising to gale force at places. AVeather: Cloudy to overcast, with scattered rains. Seas rough. MANAAVATU RIVER GAUGE. Noon: 3ft.
