Servants, the following resolution was carried unanimously:—“ln view of the returning prosperity, and the buoyant state of the Dominion’s finances, this meeting emphatically protests against the Government’s proposals to increase salaries by only 7£ per cent, from October 1, and resolves to press our justifiable claims to the fullest degrees for full restoration and the retrospective payment of same from April 1.”
