NEW FLYING-BOATS
FOR EMPIRE, ROUTES. Received September 24, 1.30 p.m. LONDON, Sept. 23. Imperial Airways’ new flving-boats, which arc high-wing monoplanes, with double-deck cabins, are 30 per cent, larger and 50 to 60 per cent, faster than the biggest existing Empire ’plane. The first is expected by the middle of 1936 it is understood that sixteen have ben ordered.
