AUSTRALIAN NAVY

MOVEMENTS OF DESTROYER. ORDERED TO SEA. SHIPS AT DARWIN. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) Received September 23, 9.30 a.m. BRISBANE, Sept. 23. The crew of the destroyer Voyager, who were on shore leave at Bowen, were called back to the ship last night by flashing searchlights. ~ Preparations were made for the Voyager to put to sea under orders.

Darwin reports that the warships Canberra, Sussex. Stuart, and Moresby have been refuelling in the last few days from the large naval oil storage tanks which were recently constructed. Because of the extraordinary rise and fall of the tide the vessels were able to come alongside the jetty only at high tide.
