MEDITERRANEAN CRUISES.

VESSELS DIVERTED. LONDON, Sept. 21. The P. and 0. Company has cancelled the Strathmore’s maiden voyage to the Mediterranean, including Italian ports, owing to the international situation. Instead, the Strathmore will depart on September 27 on a 17-day cruise to the Canary Isles. The company informed the SunHerald news agency that several passengers were nervous about the Mediterranean, consequently, it was thought best to change the programme. Four other companies are diverting cruise liners to the Atlantic from the Mediterranean.
