PAHIATUA, Sept. 21. The test for the learners of tlio Paliiatua Municipal Silver Band was conducted last night, under musical examination conditions, bv the liistiruetor Mr S. J. Matthews, L.L.C.M. The test, which was on theory of music, was on the whole very well done by the pupils, and the instructor .is very pleased with the result.. The nidi vicinal marks are ns follow : R- Bro« per cent; S- A. Matthews, 99 per cent F. R. Buckingham, 98 per cent: R. I>. Matthews. 98 per cent; R. McDona.d, 93 pei cent; H. Mills, 88 pel cent , J. Gnrlick, 88 per cent; T. Levy i 9 ner cent; A. Bit'k, 77 per cent; and M. Adams, 73 per cent. All the above have secured more than Hie number of marks necessary . for a pass in a regular music examination, as conducted by the musical autliorites.
