SEARCH FOR ’PLANE. LAKE TAUPO REPORT. Per Press Association. ROTORUA, Feh. 12. A search carried out by the Internal Affairs Department’s launch following tlie report that a ’plane had appeared to descend into Lake Taupo, lias !ailed to reveal any trace of the ’plane, while the postmaster at Taupo reports that it lias been ascertained that all registered ’planes have been decollated for throughout the Dominion. The launch, which was equipped with a searchlight, carried out an extensive search for live hours, and when the party returned at 2 o’clock this morning they reported that no oil or wreckage of any description had been found on the water of the lake, while other inquiries also failed to substantiate the story.
