INTERESTING POINT IN AWARD. Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, Nov. 12. A point whether rural mail contractors who carried passengers occasionally and contractors who transported children to and from school should be bound by the Dominion Passenger Transport Drivers’ Award was . discussed in the Arbitration Court to-day. During the course of the argument the strange fact was revealed that for the jnirposes of the Transport Act school children were classed as “goods” and therefore were not embraced by the particular award under review. The Court was inclined to the view that drivers in the rural mail class should have a special provision to themselves. Judgment in the case in which the point arose was reserved.
