NORWEGIAN OCCUPATIONS.
CENSUS OF POPULATION
The principal figures of the Norwegian census of 1930 have just been published. Norway counted at that moment 2,814,194 inhabitants; 838,000 in round figures live by agriculture, 196,000 by fishing, 774,000 by industry, 235,000 are employed in commercial enterprises, 272,000 in transport enterprises. The liberal professions are represented by 155,000 persons whilst 100,000 live on their -incomes. Two million Norwegians are country dwellers, and 800,000 town dwellers.
