JEWELS IN BURNT LINER.

Diamonds, pearls and rubies of enormous value are reported by the New York Post to have been found in the purser’s safe' on board the gutted American liner Alorro Castle, whose charred remains were examined by officials,- following the disaster, in winch over 130 lives were lost. It is stated that the jewels were held in the name of Mrs Capote, described as daughter of an ex-President of Cuba.
