NEW ZEALAND’S INTEREST

THE MINISTRY OF COMMERCE.

(By Telegraph. —Special to Standard.) WELLINGTON, Nov. 8. The rearrangement of the Australian Federal Ministry shows that, although the New Zealand Ministers were concerned about a prolonged session delaying their proposed consultations with the Commonwealth over a reciprocal trade agreement, no time lias really been lost, as Mr F. H. Stewart, the original Minister of Commerce and Industry, who had conducted the negotiations with New Zealand, is not a member of the new Cabinet. His place lias been taken by Dr. Earle Page, Leader of the Country Party, a change not to the advantage of New Zealand producers, who desire the free admission of potatoes, onions, and similar products into Australia.
