It is revealed that two American citizens, Miss Isobel Steele and Mr Richard Roderer, who were holidaying in Germany, have been imprisoned lor several months without a trial on unspecified charges of treason. American intervention has proved fruitless.

The Consul is making an effort to prevent the People’s Court, which cun inflict tho deatn penalty, from trying the cases.
