Hon. J. Bitchener (Minister of Public Works) will commence a tour of Southland and Central Otago on Monday. A Gazette notice announces that the Teachers’ Appeal Board for 1934 will consist of the following: - —Chairman, Mr T. R. Cresswell; representatives of the Education Department, Messrs W. S. La Trobe, E. J. Parr and J. W. Mcllraith; representatives of teachers, secondary schools, Messrs F. H. Campbell and J. A. Colquhoun (Palmerston North); technical schools, Messrs T. B. Bowring and A. M. Jones; primary schools, Messrs W. F. Abel, F. A. Garry, G. F. Griffiths and Miss Margaret E. Magill.
