PROSPECTS FOR WOOL.
TO-DAY’S DUNEDIN SALE. DUNEDIN, April 9. The fourth wool sale under the auspices of the Dunedin Stock Agents and Wool Brokers’ Association will be held to-morrow afternoon, when a catalogue of 10,277 hales will be offered. The greater proportion of the offering will consist of crossbreds, but there js a fair sprinkling of halfbreds through the catalogues. The latter are mostly, late shorn wools and consequently tlrey are carrying more condition than the halfbreds which were offered at earlier sales. It is anticipated that there will be a good demand for all grades of wool, and it is pleasing to note that at the sale last week Germany was again a competitor fox all fine wools. It is expected that this demand will be maintained in Dunedin and that the market will rule firm at recent rates. This will he the last sale in Dunedin and there is every reason to hope that there will be a good clearance and that the carry-over so far as Otago is concerned will be negligible.
