LOAN CONVERSIONS.

PALMERSTON NORTH CITY. AUTHORISING ORDER GAZETTED Entitled the Palmerston North City Loans Conversion Order, notification appears in the Gazette authorising conversions of city loan indebtedness to take effect from June 1 next. Loans in the first schedule gazetted number 51 and total £855,543, tlie original rate of interest ranging from 6 to 51 per cent. These loans include the 1924 conversion loan .of £186,400, on which the interest rate has been reduced from 6 to 4 4-5 per cent. The second schedule gazetted covers loans totalling £45,000, the interest rate on which is reduced from 4£ to 4! per cent.
