FEILDING SALE.

Large yarding of cattle. An exceptionally heavy entry of cattle came forward to-day for the cattle fair at Feilding, the numbers causing congestion at the yards with the result that the sale did not commence until midday. Grown cattle were offered first and met with a slow demand, reserves being well above buyers’ values. sheep sold well. Prices up to 1 p.m. were as follow: Cattle.—Forward 4 and 5-yr P.A. bullocks, £5 13s, £5 15s to £6 3s; 4 and 5-yr Hereford bullocks, £6; 4-yr P.A. bullocks, £5 13s. Fat sheep.—Lambs, 17s 2d, 19s 3d, 20s 4d, 22s to 25s 7d; wethers, 22s Id, 24s to 255; ewes, 14s, 15s 9d to 17s 9d ; b.f, 2ths, 25s 4d.
